I began working with Kelsea in the Fall of 2014. She was looking for some creative direction and styling to help better communicate her brand and who her customer is. The finished product, with the help of Abby Coyle Photography, was a modern girl who appreciates quality. She loves her basics, enjoys French press coffee every morning, has a bustling record collection, and has a bit of reverence for the past – a la Jane Birkin.

The Fall/Winter Lookbook of 2014 was shot in New Orleans and is a collection all about juxtaposition. The aesthetic for the styling was much inspired by the location and the pieces – both luxurious and paired down… feminine and tomboy-ish… the Loren Hope girl is stylish but doesn’t take herself too seriously, and the styling reflected that. Vintage clothing is still woven throughout the styling – my favorite? The seafoam evening gown that paired perfectly with her cobalt blue Hex necklaces.

The Spring/Summer Lookbook of 2014 was shot at The Parker Hotel, in Palm Springs, and was about vivid color and playfulness. The styling reflected the sensibilities of the setting as well as the mood for the collection. I sourced vintage clothing (hello, vintage Halston) that could be paired with modern pieces that felt like they belonged in your cool and stylish great aunt’s closet – oh, the stories those pieces could tell!

The Fall/Winter Lookbook of 2013 was shot in Providence, RI, and was inspired heavily by a theme of the cosmos. This was my first time working with the client and was all about communicating who we visualized the customer was – or perhaps, who her dream identity was. The styling was playful and varied – much like any modern woman’s life is. We wanted unexpected use of color, props that told a story, and pieces that were vintage and unique much like Loren’s jewelry.
